Consider this..

Your child's education is the most important investment you will ever make.

 Psalms 1 :1-3

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by streams of water which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.  Whatever he does prospers." NIV

Does Perspective Matter?

Your interest in Christian education indicates that you understand the importance of perspective.  An individual's understanding of the world and the way one interacts with the world is dependent upon that individual's perspective.  It is often referred to as the person's worldview.  Just as our perspective is shaped by what is understood to be real and true, right or wrong, ugly or beautiful, a person's worldview is the sum total of his beliefs about the world as understood from the knowledge that has been acquired.

Before explorers braved the oceans, most people thought the earth was flat. Due to the limited view of the planet on which they lived, explorers lacked the perspective which would enable them to see its true spherical nature.  Today we know the world is not flat.  Our knowledge of the world has expanded incredibly.  Our improved perspective of the world has freed us from the errors of the past.

Knowledge, and the means of education, has never been more widespread than it is today.  But knowledge, as we have illustrated, can be flawed if it carries with it the flawed perspectives of the instructors and the educational system.  So it is essential that education be rooted in good values, and that knowledge is imparted from a true perspective.  Education is incomplete unless it is centered on the reality of God and His infallible Word.  Education should be positive and truthful.

The mission of North County Christian School is to work in partnership with parents and the church to provide an educational environment with a Christian perspective, based upon the authority of God's Word and the teachings of Jesus Christ as its central core.  It is only through the submission of one's life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ that a true perspective can be acquired.  Romans 12: 2 challenges each believer to no longer conform to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of their minds so they may be able to test and approve what God's will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will.
