This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we were not able to hold our annual Legacy Dinner and auction on April 18th, so we hosted our first ever, virtual Legacy auction event, titled The Jewel of North County, on May 2nd. The event was live on Facebook at 5 pm. We are excited to announce that we have an anonymous donor who has made the very generous offer to match donations we receive for this event dollar for dollar up to $75,000, and they indicated that they may even be able to match more than that amount. The morning of the auction, a small business owner offered to match an additional $25,000, above the $75,000.
Revenues from this event are typically used to provide enhancements to our academic and extracurricular programs for students. Under the current circumstances, we need the added support to fill the gap of lost tuition revenues to allow students to continue in our school, and help us cover critical operational expenses, including teacher and staff salaries, as they continue to teach and guide our children during this time away from school.
Thank you to everyone who participated in The Jewel of North County event. If you were unable to participate in the event on May 2nd, please consider a financial donation to help us reach our goal.
