What makes North County Christian different from other schools?
At NCCS it is not enough that students know the intricacies of mathematics or science or music; they must grasp how these disciplines--and every other discipline as well--have been created by God to help us understand the beauty of His creation and God's plan for them in this world.
What are the approximate class sizes?
NCCS average class size is 18 per class in Elementary and 23 for Secondary. Classes fill-up quickly and most run at a 99% level.
What percentage of high school seniors attend college?
Approximately 98% of our students go on to further education.
What are school hours?
Preschool is open from 6 am-6 pm, class time starts at 8:30 am.
Full day Kindergarten is from 8:30 am-3:00 pm and half day Kindergarten is 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
1st – 6th grade is from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm.
Middle School and High School students attend 8:00 am to 2:57 pm.
Before/After Care is available.
6:00-8:00 am K-6th grade only
3:00-6:00 pm K-12th grade.
Are drama classes offered?
Drama is available for both the Middle School and High School students. This program is very popular among our NCCS students. Middle School performs several small performances throughout the year. High School performs two major productions each year.
Is chapel scheduled regularly or just Bible classes?
All students receive daily Bible instruction at NCCS. In addition, students in K-12th grade attend weekly chapels. We have a variety of chapel speakers, ranging from local youth pastors and children's pastors to missionaries.
Can parents attend chapel?
Parents are welcome to attend chapels. K-6th meet each Tuesday at 2 pm. Middle School and High School meet on Thursdays at 8:15 am.
Does NCCS have a web sites for students/parents to access homework, test schedules, and other information?
Parents/Students are able to login anytime of the day or night to access student information on Teacher Ease.
Are uniforms required?
Uniforms are not required for NCCS students; however, we do have a dress code policy. Please refer to the Parent-Student Handbook for specific dress code policy.
