Meet Our School Board Members

Our School Board is comprised of 13 dedicated volunteers with a diverse set of qualifications and experiences who pool their talents to serve as the governing body of NCCS. Through monthly meetings of the full board, as well as regular committee meetings, the NCCS School Board provides governance through policy development, strategic planning, financial oversight and organizational decision making that ensures we continue moving forward in carrying out or mission and vision. Each member is committed to Christian education and the mission/vision of NCCS, and the majority of members are the parents of current NCCS students or alumni of the school. 

  • pastor Dusty Thompson

    Lead Pastor of Ferguson Church of the Nazarene

    Pastor Dusty Thompson has been a member of our board since 2013. He serves on the Governance and Policy Committee . Pastor Dusty is the Lead Pastor of Ferguson Church of the Nazarene, where he has been serving for over 5 years. He graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a B.S. in Physical Education and is currently pursuing a M.A. in Pastoral Studies from Wesley Seminary. He served as youth pastor in Pineville, North Carolina; youth pastor, associate pastor, co-pastor and now lead pastor at Ferguson Church. Three sons Christian, Corban, Cylan attend NCCS.  


    Pastor Dusty's vision for NCCS is to work in partnership with the family and church to provide excellent education rooted in Biblical truth and to nurture students as they embrace a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, discover their God-given gifts, seek His plan for their life, and serve Him with their mind, body and spirit.

  • pastor David Speicher

    Associate Pastor of Missouri Church of the Nazarene, Ferguson

    Pastor Dave Speicher has been a member of our board since 2011. He serves on Governance and Policy Committee and he also serves as the Board Chairman. Pastor Dave is currently the Associate Pastor of Ferguson Church of the Nazarene. Prior to his service at FCN, Pastor Dave Speicher served as a Lead Pastor in Kingston, Missouri; Parish, New York; Syracuse, New York; and as pastor of Lakeside Community Church in Hastings, Nebraska for 20 years before becoming Lead Pastor of Ferguson Church. He received an undergraduate degree in religion from Southern Nazarene University and a Master of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary. He also graduated from a 3-year track of the K-Church School of Large Church Management through the Church Growth Division of the International Church of the Nazarene. Three grandchildren attend NCCS. 


    His vision for NCCS is to provide the healthy development of the spirit, mind, and body of every student through the ministry of NCCS.

  • Andy Maxedon

    Engineering operations & technology at the boeing company

    Andy Maxedon has been a member of our board since 2010, and serves on the Finance Committee. Andy works as a Computer Analyst for the Engineering Operations and Technology Department of The Boeing Company. Andy attends Ferguson Church of the Nazarene, and also serves as a church board member. 


  • Toni Miller

    Retired Teacher

    Toni has been a member of our board since 2014. She presently serves on the Advancement, Development and Strategic Planning Committee. Toni Retired from the Rockwood School District as an elementary teacher and is now the Resource Teacher at All Saints Academy - St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Campus. She earned her backelor's degree and Master's degree from Indiana State University. Her son, Thomas attended NCCS for 12 years and graduated in 2017. Toni attends Ferguson church of the Nazarene, where she serves as a board member, on the worship team, and in the children's ministry. 


    Toni's vision for NCCS is that all students who desire will be able to attend NCCS regardless of their socioeconomic background. 

  • Gerri Nicks

    Maritz

    Gerri Nicks has been a member of our school board since 2015. She serves on the Advancement, Development and Strategic Planning Committee. Gerri attends church at Simple Church. She spends her time serving on several non-profit boards, and supports missions in Africa. Gerri works in Incentive Travel at Maritz. Her son Caleb graduated from NCCS in 2015 and her son Colin will graduate in 2020. 


    Gerri's vision for NCCS is that we would continue to prepare young people to succeed in the world and represent God to others. 

  • Todd Ochs

    Owner of Ochs Construction Company - St. Louis, MO

    Todd has been a member of our board since 2003, and serves on the Advancement, Development and Strategic Planning Committee . He currently attends Grace Church in Maryland Heights, and previously attended General Baptist Church where he served as a Bible teacher, Jr. High teacher, youth minister and in grief ministry. Todd is the owner of Ochs Construction Company. His three children attended NCCS and graduated in 2011, 2012, and 2017. His daughter, Micah Ochs, now teaches kindergarten at NCCS. 


    Todd's vision for NCCS is that we would continue to provide excellent Christian education while increasing the number of students enrolled where they find their calling and vocation. 

  • Mark Taylor

    Department chair of social & behavioral sciences/teacher education at st. louis community college

    Mark Taylor has been a member of our board since 2006, and serves on Strategic Planning Committee. Mark is currently the Department Chair of Social and Behavioral Sciences/Teacher Education and a Professor of Education St. Louis County Community College. He attends Ferguson Church of the Nazarene and serves as Board Member, in Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries, and plays drums in the Worship Band. He has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with graduate degrees in Learning Disabilities and School Administration. Mark Taylor has a long history of service with North County Christian School (NCCS). He served as the head administrator for 12 years from 1998–2001, and is responsible for establishing the high school program. Mark is the father of six graduates of North County Christian School, who all attended NCCS from kindergarten through 12th grade.  


    Mark's vision for NCCS is that the school would carry a reputation through the community of clearly representing Christ in all that we accomplish and that we would develop an endowment program to build a stronger financial base for the next 50 years of ministry.

  • Donna Wallner

    Retired Professor of nursing

    Donna Walner has been a member of our school board since 2000. She serves on the Governance and Policy Committee. Donna recently retired from Professor of Nursing St. Louis Community College, currently a nurse at Christian Hospital Northeast. She attends of Ferguson Church of the Nazarene. Donna received her undergraduate degrees from Lincoln Land Community College and University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a master’s in science from Southern Illinois University. She has two daughters, Heidi, a 2014 graduate who attended NCCS since age two, and April, who attended from the 1st -12th grade and graduated from NCCS in 2002. Her son, Michael, attended NCCS from the 2nd through 7th grade.  


    Donna's vision for NCCS is that we would promote an environment where students are encouraged and developed to be excellent Christian leaders. 

  • Dr. Gayle A. Wilkinson, ed.d.

    Associate professor, division of teaching and learning

    University of missouri - st. louis

    Dr. Gayle Wilkinson has been a member of our school board since 2011. She serves as the Board Secretary and sits on the Governance and Policy Committee. Dr. Wilkinson is a retired Associate Professor from the College of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She attends First Christian Church of Florissant, where she serves as a Bible teacher and in grief ministry. Gayle received her Doctor of Education degree and master’s degree in biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She graduated from Olivet Nazarene University and taught middle school science and high school biology for 13 years. Her grandson August graduated from NCCS in 2015, and grandson Mark currently attends high school at NCCS. 


    Dr. Wilkinson's vision for NCCS is to support an increasing number of families through excellent Christian education suitable for each child while demonstrating God’s love clearly to the community. 

  • Malcolm woodley

    Sales Manager at Art Van Furniture of Saint Louis

    Malcolm Woodley has been a member of our board since 2016, and serves on the Governance and Policy Committee. He currently works as a Sales Manager at Art Van Furniture of Saint Louis. Malcolm attends Grace Bible Church, where he serves as a deacon. Malcolm attended Northeast Missouri University. He has three sons who attended NCCS (1996-2002) and are now all enlisted in the armed forces: Cedric (Air force), Eric (Army), and Darric (Navy).   


    Malcolm's vision for the school is that the Board, teachers and staff would continue to provide a quality Christ-filled education. Attaining college preparedness, and spiritual growth for our students to succeed in life withstanding any challenges to the ‘Faith and the Hope we have in Christ’. Paving the way for our future legacy, for generations to come.

  • Adam Durall

    Senior director of finance at ascension care management

    Adam Durall has been a member of our board since 2015. He currently serves on the Financial Committee. Adam is the Senior Director of Finance for Ascension Care Management. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois and his Master's degree in Accounting Science from Southeast Missouri State University. 


    Adam attends church at Ferguson Church of the Nazarene. His wife, Andrea Durall, teaches high school Spanish and Lifetime Fitness at NCCS. His two sons, Noah and Micah, attend NCCS in our elementary school. 

  • James Clay

    adjunct professor of English For St. Louis County Community College

    James Clay has been a member of our board since 2017. He currently serves on the Advancement, Development and Strategic Planning Committee . James works as an adjunct professor of English for St. Louis County Community College. He attends In Step Church in St. Charles, serving as an elder and small group leader. James served our country until retirement as a Special Agent in Charge for the U.S. Postal Inspector General. He graduated from University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee with a BA and from Lindenwood University with a master’s in fine arts. His two children attended NCCS from 1994-1997.  


    James's vision for NCCS is to become the “jewel” of North County Christian education.

  • Dr. Greg Clark

    Nccs SUPERINTENDENT

    Dr. Greg Clark has been the superintendent of NCCS since 2012. Prior to joining our staff, he spent 28 years in public education, beginning as a secondary science teacher with the final 14 years as a school administrator. Dr. Clark has a BS in Education from Southwest Baptist University, a MS in Educational Administration from Emporia State University, and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from University of Missouri-St. Louis. He has been married to my wife Lisa for 32 years, and has two married daughters, Annaliese (Austin) and Abigail (Adam).


    Dr. Clark's vision for NCCS is to be the premier Christian school in our region and to see our students graduate and go forward to be world changers, impacting their communities for the Kingdom of God.
