"Investing In Eternity One Student At A Time" requires a curriculum and instructional programs that integrate God's truth into every aspect of the school experience. North County Christian High School provides an academic environment where a student's personal relationship with Jesus Christ is encouraged and supported by an experienced, qualified, Christian faculty. Students experience a sense of community that is positive and exciting. Working in cooperation with the home and church, our goal is to help students develop spiritual and intellectual maturity and prepare them to become servant leaders in their communities.

High School Program

Our high school academic program provides a challenging, college preparatory curriculum with opportunities for students to earn college credits through dual-credit courses. The high school Bible curriculum is designed to provide students a thorough and practical knowledge of the Bible, with courses in the Life of Christ, Attributes of God, Christian Leadership and Biblical Worldview Studies. English courses focus on refining student skills in reading, writing and speaking, with courses in American, World and British literature. Following rigorous Biology and Physical Science courses in the 9th and 10th grades, students have opportunities to choose among a number of science electives for their final two years, including chemistry, advanced biology and physics, with several dual-credit options. The Social Studies program provides in-depth study of world and U.S. history, along with courses in government and geography. Our mathematics program begins with Algebra 1 and extends through our AP Calculus course, providing students a very strong math foundation.

As part of our college preparatory program, students are required to take two years of Spanish, but have the opportunity to continue through Spanish IV. Students also have opportunities to select from a broad range of elective courses in fine arts and practical arts that allow them to explore specific areas of interest. Upon completion of our program, our students have a strong foundation in core academics as well as a well-rounded education in the arts that prepares them for success in college and equips them to become difference makers in their local communities and the world.

College Preparedness

The high school curriculum is primarily college preparatory in nature. Students will take classes in the core subjects of Bible, English/Literature, History/Geography, Mathematics and Science, and also includes two years of foreign language. Elective classes in band, choir, drama, visual art, computer/technology, and graphic design allow students to accentuate their educational program with learning tailored to their interests. We also offer dual credit and dual enrollment programs with local colleges and universities, providing our juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credit while completing their high school graduation requirements.

NCCS has a variety of extracurricular programs including athletics and student government activities that provide a well-rounded high school experience.
